The 2nd GP-write Meeting was held at New York in USA on May 9-10, 2017. The theme of this meeting is “a grand challenge using dna synthesis, gene editing and other technologies to understand, engineer and test living systems”.This meeting focused on the design and technical issues, ethical and social issues and industry involvement around testing large genomes in cell lines.
Prof. Yingjin Yuan and Prof. Weiwen Zhang in CBRS were invited to this meeting. Prof. Yuan provided a presentation about redesign and potential applications of yeast chromosome.
