In response to the challenges of biosafety risks and contribute to the development of biosafety and related strategies in China, the Center for Biosafety Research and Strategy at Tianjin University, Research Center for the Human Genetic Resources Law and Policy at Tianjin University, and the Tianjin University Law School jointly organized the "International Biosafety and Defense Strategy Workshop" on September 26
th at Tianjin University. Vice President Yingjin Yuan attended the meeting. Experts and scholars from China Arms Control and Disarmament Association, China Institute of Science and Technology Information, Chinese People's Liberation Army Chemical Defense College, State Council Development Research Center, Chinese Literature Academy Wuhan Documentation and Information Center, Renmin University of China Law School, and Tianjin University Law School, School of Life Sciences attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Youhai Sun, Dean of the School of Law of Tianjin University and Executive Director of the Center for Human Genetic Resources Law and Policy Research.
