Prof. Weiwen Zhang, Director of CBRS, participated in the writing of the International Science and Technology Policy of the United Nations-天津大学生物安全战略研究中心

As invited by the World Organization of Animal Health (OIE), Prof. Weiwen Zhang, director of the Center for Biosafety Research and Strategy Center (CBRS) of Tianjin University, attend a three-day expert meeting at headquarters of the World Organization for Animal Health in Paris, France from November 27^th to 29^th, 2018. The meeting was composed of six internationally renowned experts in the field of dual-use biotechnology, aiming to develop guidelines for the use, risk identification, assessment and management of dual-use technologies in animal medical laboratories for 182 member countries of the World Organization for Animal Health. Experts who participated in the drafting of the regulations came from universities and research institutes including the United States, Germany, France, Australia, the United Kingdom and China. Prof. Weiwen Zhang is the only expert from China and developing countries.
