CBRS of Tianjin University and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (CHS) signed an Educational Cooperation Agreement

Center for Biosafety Research and Strategy (CBRS) at Tianjin University and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (CHS) have recently signed an educational collaboration agreement. The two centers agreed to seek collaboration in policy research and education relevant to global biosafety and biosecurity, including collaborative research, joint application of research projects, exchange of visiting scholars and exchange students. The agreement intends to encourage develop close connection between the two centers in the future. As the first move after the agreement, CBRS at Tianjin University and the CHS of Johns Hopkins University will jointly hold the International Symposium on Biosafety and Security in the Age of Synthetic Biology in July 26, 2019 in Washington DC of USA.

    The Johns Hopkins University Health and Safety Center belongs to the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, which is ranked first in the US public health field in USNEWS. The center was founded in 1998 by Dr. D.A. Henderson, aiming at protecting the public from epidemics and disasters, helping post-disaster reconstruction, and conducting research on organizations, systems, policies, and projects related to public health.
